The Challenge

Improve circulation within a compact kitchen-dining space while addressing limited storage and inefficient use of corners. The original layout restricted movement around the island and dining area, creating a cramped feel and leaving valuable floor area underutilised. A careful balance was needed between functionality and aesthetics, ensuring the space could accommodate daily use while maintaining a clean, refined composition.

The Solution

The proposed design reorganised the layout to increase circulation and create a more open, practical work area. By repositioning key elements and introducing a compact storage unit in a previously unused corner, the scheme maximised functionality without compromising the sense of space. A round dining table was selected to soften the geometry and improve flow, while the restrained palette of timber, stone and black accents brings cohesion and a contemporary character to the room.
